Plant Grade Capon -- Ioma Brand
Virtually no difference in appearance except for minor imperfections such as a skin tear (may be sewn.) Cost is about 10% less than Grade A.
Institutional Grade Capon-- Thrift Brand
Whole bird the same as the plant grade except for larger tears in skin. Cost is about 30% less than Grade A.
Commercial Grade Capon -- Econo Parts-missing Brand
One or more parts of the bird, such as a wing, thigh or drum are missing. Cost is 40%-50% less than Grade A.
